Hidden Beach
|
|
A beach cobble walkway winds over the cliffs of Blue Horizon. At the end
is this hole in the ground. It was discovered by a guest at the
resort.

Descending into the dark..
|
|
... the cave opens onto Hidden Beach. The only other access to the beach
is through the water. Do you see the outline of a cat in the cave
ceiling?

Snorkelling at Hidden Beach can be challenging. Just below the cliff at
the east end of the beach is a sandy channel. It's over my shoulder here
as I back into the surf. The waves breaking on the beach meant we had to
don our fins before we entered the water. In the background lies Dragon
Cay.

Dragon Cay
|
|
Dragon Cay lies 100 yards off the beach at Mudjin Harbor below Blue
Horizon. A sand bar connects it to the mainland and you can walk over to
the cay.

|
Cathy stands atop the jagged body of the dragon. A recent report from Dale
says that rough seas knocked rocks from this area but that the dragon is
alive and well.
|
|
Protected by the dragon is the inner beach of Dragon Cay. It was one of
Chris's favorite spots to play.
